Ubuntu MATE Advanced Menu on Plank

I'm on Ubuntu MATE 16.10. I've gradually moved from my favourite Applications/Places/System menu towards using Plank for often-used programs, with the top panel showing notifications and the 'A/P/S' menu only for 'the rest'. I'd now like to drop the 'A/P/S' menu and use Plank with the Advanced MATE Menu (or another menu) on it (preferably the first item).
