Partes do Gnome começam a "sumir" até que a máquina trava
Estou com um problema bem estranho em uma máquina com Debian Testing e Gnome. Uso o computador durante um tempo e tudo vai bem até que, de repente, algumas partes da tela começam a ficar de uma cor só e o controle do mouse é perdido. No final de tudo, a máquina trava e tenho que resetar para pode usar novamente.
Não sei nem como pesquisar sobre isso. Alguém tem alguma ideia de como resolver este problema?

Isso me lembra a época que eu usava netbus pra controlar o mouse do pessoal rs... anoob, isso acontece também em outros ambientes gráficos?

Não tenho outros ambientes gráficos mas posso fazer um teste. Qual você sugere?
Outra informação adicional, as vezes as partes do Desktop somem e só fica o papel de parede e o tudo travado.

Então, eu provavelmente não vou ser a pessoa a conseguir resolver um problema difícil desses, mas o que eu consigo pensar é que talvez seja algo relacionado ao X e, por isso, usar um outro ambiente gráfico pra testar (ex: fluxbox ou lxde) seria um começo. Mas tomara que a reinstalação do driver seja suficiente.

Não quero falar muito alto mas por enquanto parece que resolveu. A máquina ficou um tempão ligada e não apresentou nenhum problema. Antes acontecia bem rápido. Se os problemas voltarem eu reapareço.
